about peace

In a world full of war and conflict, where bombs fall and people die from every kind of conflict and violence, the idea of peace can sometimes ring hollow. How can we have peace when others are trying to kill us? You cannot find peace anywhere except in the kingdom of God…and the kingdom of God is within you. From within the kingdom of God within you, comes His love, and from His love comes the comfort, the trust, the security, and the serenity we call peace.

We all need to do as much as we can to bring peace to our homes, to our workplace, to our nation, and to our world. To bring the peace the world needs so desperately we must all recognize the source of peace within ourselves. The source of peace within us is the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. When we find Christ within our hearts, He brings to us a shelter from the storms outside of us. In His hands, we can rest secure in knowing no matter what might be raging outside of us, His protective love covers us and He keeps our spirit safe forever and ever.

about love and pride

Love dissolves the ego. Love melts down all the selfish underpinnings that cause pride to form in us. In love, we come to understand that position, power, authority, and things are of no value. In love, we come to understand that only Christ is of value. In love, we are not stuck up because we are willing to take a lesser road or a lesser position. When God's power of love comes over a person's life, all the things of earth, the things we think are so important, pass away. Love does not have time for pride because love is too busy helping others, supporting others, and glorifying God in all that is said and done.
